The turning of the calendar to September can only mean one thing in the GHL world... winter hockey is just around the corner.
This past Sunday (Aug 29th), saw 167 players drafted to 6 minor teams and 6 major teams. The league is very excited that it has grown by 2 minor teams this year. Click

Held at the Virgil Complex, the draft bbq was exciting from the very first pick (Al Thompson to the Hawks) to the very last pick (the Commish to the Leafs). In between those picks, new GMs were introduced, new jerseys were introduced and a lot of fun was had by all.
As well, players graciously brought in donations for Gillian's Place, a St. Catharines woman's shelter. There were enough donations for 2 car loads. Thank you very much for your generosity.
