The GHL is Niagara's original co-ed non-contact beginner hockey league. This league was created for adults who have little or no childhood hockey experience. We have two seasons per year:

September > March: Saturdays in Virgil (26 Games)

May > August: Fridays in St. Catharines (13 Games)

The GHL has over 250 members and provides a fantastic hockey experience, complete with GMs, captains, coaches, referees, scorekeepers, and one amazing, friendly atmosphere.

Week 19 MVPs

4

Amanda Spring (Canadiens) - She played a phenomenal game AND discovered a new-found joy of playing on the forward line! Keep up the great work, Amanda!

1

Billy Matson (Rangers) - Billy has been a rock all season and once again in this game. Controlling the puck in our defensive and offensive zone and making great passes.

2

Phil and Judy Bowman (Bruins) - Phil and Judy played a great game in both the offensive and defensive zones. Their passing and teamwork lead to the Bruins 2 goals for the night and kept pressure on a strong Leafs defensive lineup. Congrats Phil and Judy on a well played game!!

3

Karen Ferrelli (Leafs) - Karen once again brought her solid defensive skills to protect her keeper but when it was time to go all in...she took the play to the opposing star player and created the best scoring chance all season. In the process getting the game winning goal!

3

Steph Humphrey (Hawks) - Steph started the Hawks out on the scoreboard with a wicked end to end skate and goal from her backhand. Uhhhsweet! You're a joy on and off the ice chick!

1

Mike Petriw (Wings) - Mike was a later edition to the team and during his first game you’d think he was a Wing from day one! Mike has played defence fantastically every single game and last week was no different! Way to Go Mike!!

4

Ian Gollert (Ducks) - All season long he was always the bridesmaid. Tonight he was the bride! Total 200 foot game - with a beauty goal scorers goal!

4

Scotty Too Hotty (Flames) - Scott continues to heat up the left wing for the Flames. This week he played solid positional hockey, completed blazing-hot passes, and scored a sizzling goal! Keep that fire burning Scotty!

1

Jess Miotto (Canucks) - Jess played an outstanding game this week against a quick Sharks team, potting the Canucks only goal to break an otherwise solid performance by the Sharks tendy. Jess was also moving the puck well through the neutral zone, and was winning battles on the boards all night. Great work Jess!

3

Natalie Liske (Sharks) - Natalie has been playing a good smart game all along for the Sharks. Natalie knows where to be and fights hard to win the puck every time. Natalie knew where to be this week earning herself another goal for the Sharks. Great game Natalie.

3

Jesse Richer (Oilers)….with a lot of Oilers on the day-to-day injury list, Jesse stepped up and led the fantastic eight in a win over the Sabres. Jesse played stellar defense on one end of the ice and chipped in with a nice goal in the Oilers 3-2 win.

2

Peter Coatsworth (Sabres) - When the defence gets all the goals for the team and it’s the same person. Well they have to be the star of the week!! Congrats Peter on a great game this week.
